are first gen bumpers really that much?

i need a new rear bumper for my 96 4x4. Looking on fleabay, there easily going for $150+ $30ish for shipping. Are they really that expensive? Think it would be cheaper to sand blast and re-chrome my bumper?

 

well..anything up to 2004 will fit, so it shouldnt be that expensive

i think its a good excuse to get a shrock works bumper, just sayin

 

sand blast and bed line the one you have man...........cheap and looks awesome!!!(to me anyway.......basically what i did to mine!!!)

 

or try craigslist, sometimes people give them away there, and try some of the other forums for a used one

 

ive been looking for a year now, and all the good ones seem to be in cali and no one wants to ship

 

I bought the aftermarket one from Veng, it looks perfect.
It came with everything too. Mount brackets, hardware, pads, plate lights and harness.
Two years later and I have seen a few rust spots in the corners.
I should have washed it more often in these New England winters.
