    Hello,

Years and years ago on the original LCML (Land Cruiser Mailing List) someone found a company selling aftermarket magnetic drain plugs with SUPER STRONG and much larger magnets. I've done a brief google search and have not had much luck so thought I would come out of lurking mode and ask here.

I'm about to change the front/rear diffs and tranny/tcase oil and thought I'd throw in better magnets if available. Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Erin

I don't have any recommendations but I want some too, I know Neodymium magnets are the strongest you can buy, but I've read that they can lose their magnetism at high temperatures and can rust, though the oil would counter the rusting.

Those look good and should for the price. Wow.

The ones I remember had less thread and much more magnet. I'll keep searching. I seem to remember they had multiple applications as well (i.e. trans, tcase, engine, etc).

    Thanks for the link.

Marlin Crawler sells them for older Toyotas, not sure about Tacomas.

I got magnetic drain plugs for every vehicle we have from http://www.goldplug.com/. I ordered extra aluminum sealing washers so I would always have them on hand also.

If you have shavings that big. You have serious issues.
