2003 tacoma alarm issue.

Ever time i use my key to open my door on my truck the alarm goes off. Any one know a way to fix it?

 

battery is good cleaned the terminals works fine. I think it's the alarm system that is acting up the only way to get in the truck is by the remote.

 

Your door lock cylinder has an electrical switch in it, and the alarm has current sensing. The alarm is working the way it's supposed to work.

Why would you want to unlock a door with the alarm on anyhow? Is there something special you're trying to do?

 

Ok lets say i only have the key to my truck no remote and i put the key in the door to unlock it. The alarm will go off why would it go off when i'm using the key?

 

is it an aftermarket alarm system?

I had one, I disabled the horn of the alarm...there should be an re-set button, turn the key halfway while holding the button until the alarm shuts off.
