    Just found this yesterday [IMG]

For those of you that have replaced their rearmost u joint, what brand should I go with??

I'm not willing to pay for a Toyota one $75 is outrageous..

Should I just grab one from the parts store, GMB, ACDelco, PartsMaster etc for like $13
Or pay a little more for a Spicer or a Moog? ~$35

FWIW I wheel a bit and am generally kinda hard on the truck. the way it should be ;)

Soo I went with the GMB brand (Pn 04371-60070), ran about $15. Picked that one b/c it was made in Japan, had good reviews, and was the same design (center 90* zerk) like the one I removed (OEM). It installed easily and fit perfectly. Getting old one out on the other hand was a MAJOR task:frusty:, had to bust out the grinder.

I also added a small spacer~3/4" to drop my CSB a bit and straighten out the shaft.

Truck is now driving smooth and sound free!

    hey dudes..

    Awesome thread

Say, @tipicotaco, how's the drive shaft mod still treating you..I like that idea

I have a 99 with a EMU dakkar front/rear suspension setup..would I benefit from trying to straighten out my drive shaft like you did--pretty sure I have to change out my center support bearing---tons of squeaky noises! only 100K on everything though

good link on that tom wood custom drive shafts--those look suave!
