Feels like it wants to die when coming to a stop or turning

Lately, my truck feels like it wants to die when I come to a stop or start a turn. It doesn't happen that much. I was thinking maybe my power steering fluid was low but it looks ok. What could it be? It seems to idle fine but maybe it's idiling too low when I come to a stop or turn. Not sure. Replaced the plugs and wire's maybe 15 - 20,000 miles ago. I've cleaned the air filter, maf, and throttle body opening.

 

Haven't thought of that. I'm right at 100,000 miles maybe it's time. I've also noticed my gas mileage has decreased a little the past few months. I had a head gasket replaced last December and thought I had some strange engine noises like there was an air leak or something but everything's checked out fine. Sounded like a steam engine on the backside of the engine on the drivers side.

 

If your fuel filter is causing the problem, you would really notice it by driving up a long grade that is steep enough to make you floor it. With 100K on the clock, I would replace the filter regardless. Wouldn't want it to cause problems on the road (been there, done that).

 

Could be a dirty idle air control valve. Does it usually do this low idle approx 200-300 rpm after turning off the truck and then restarting it within a few minutes say stopping to get something from a gas store?
