Wiring harness problems

I have a 95 manual 4x4 tacoma... My select switch does not engage the 4x4, so i went to a proffessional auto electrician and he tells me that i have the wrong engine harness on it. He said my harness is for the manual transfer case with high 4 and low 4 but my actual transfer case is auto select switch with the high and low 4. Any way i can manually make the 4x4 work or is anyone selling a harness with the select switch harness on their wiring harness? Please help

ok, so you have an electronic actuated transfer case and a fully manual front differential with manual lockout hubs? Yes you can easily make a setup to move the actuator from 4wd to 2wd and even wire in lights to show what position you are in. You basically install a switch that can reverse the polarity on two wires that make the motor spin one direction or the other.

Actuated transfer case, as well as the differential. I am missing two plugs for the diff and one for the transfer case, the electrician told me I have the wrong wiring harness for the truck.

 

well your in a bit of a pickle. how did you manage to get this combo on the truck? Did you buy it this way from someone else? You could technically wire in the same type of switch to actuate the front diff that would be setup for the transfer case.
