I'm having one heck of a time trying to find a cat back exhaust for my 2000 reg cab 2.7 4 cylinder truck. The aftermarket OEM muffler is falling apart, with the tailpipe recently rusting through and the muffler itself isn't far off. I'm thinking of something stainless to replace the muffler. Everything I've found is for extended cab trucks... Does anyone know where I can find a regular cab cat back that has a stainless muffler? If I bought one for an extended cab, how much work/expense would I inquire to make it fit a reg cab? Thanks

Just find an exhaust shop near you and ask if they can order you the muffler you want, then have them fab you a system.

Do you or anyone else have any suggestions on the muffler for a 2.7 4 cylinder? I was looking at the Magnaflows, but I'm uncertain of the correct size. Checked the one on my truck now and it doesn't match any of the Magnaflows listed.

I don't have a ready answer for you-I see what you mean about availability for a reg cab after doing a little searching. Hopefully someone has the answer in here. One thing I can tell you is you can run any Magnaflow that is for the 2.7, #s matching or not.

2.5" 14" is what LCE uses in their cat back. No need to buy a system... Just the muffler really. Shiney new tubing won't add much HP.

Shop Ebay. Look at the Dynomax stuff, the tubing is aluminized but you can spray it with the high heat paint and it should last longer. With your 4 bangger I would recomend a 2 1/4" muffler.
