got a 2003 double cab tacoma...
seems i got a squeeking issue.. seems like it only squeeks when i accelerate to about 20mph, it stops when i get off the gas, it seems to me like it comes from the back. my buddy was standing next to me when i pulled up, he agreed.

i know the leaf springs squeek, when i get out of the truck.... creeeeek... i can shake the bed squeeky squeeky squeeky.... but if it were the leaf springs that doenst make sense that it only does it when i acclerate and stop when i get off?

Do you have a bed extender? That seems to be the main source of squeaking from my truck. Granted, it's only noticeable with the windows down.

Was a PreRunner, now it isn't
does it only squeak when you take off from a stop and get faster until you can no longer hear it? if so most likely a u-joint. if it is bump dependent it is more likely the leaf springs

    ...too much shit to list.
Try turning up the volume on the radio and the squeaks will go away.
Works in my truck every time.

2" lift AAL and Bilstiens-front-rear,front diff drop. main drive drop
Spray them with lubricant-see if that helps. I greased (lightly) my leafs when the AAL was installed--NO SQUEAKS YET. Check the rubber areas too. 2003-they are not new anymore--Checked mine recently-not dry or cracking.

    ok... back...

could be the leaf packs and bushings...

take a pressure hose to them and get all the small pebbles and dried up dirt and debris out, then spray em with some silicone lube... see if that helps...

yeah i was thinking its cause i've had the truck in the mud more since being in mississippi... oklahoma doesnt have a whole lot of mud... at least salty mud... and i've been backing a boat into the gulf... could be salt water, slight corrosion....

i did take it to the car wash and spay the packs down real good, i told my wife i washed the truck to make the squeek go away, she was like wtf? haha.... it didnt help... i was thinking about greasing the leafs... like a spray lithium grease thats water proof?

    i dunno i'm no doctor....

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .
Had the same identical issue on a 2007 Tundra.

It was the leaf springs and I had not been off road and the truck was not in the rain much either.

I could get the squeaks to go away with 2 large cans of WD-40 ... but that only worked temporarily ... until the springs were finally changed.
