looking into throwing an exhaust onto my 2.7l taco. with it being a 4banger i don't want anything that sounds to ricey. The loud noise or farm equipment drone doesn't bother me. Any ideas? Friends have v6's(not tacomas) with flowmaster 40's that I like. A lot of research on here points to a magnaflow. Not to familiar with any magnaflow exhaust.

I think your 4 banger will sound like a ricer no matter what you put on it. You're comparing your friend's v6s to your 4.... apples and oranges.

I know when i start climbing rpms its gonna get rice. that's unpreventable. Just want something that will sound halfway decent and wont make people think I'm a Honda while rolling through a parking lot or sitting at a stop light. I know the rice will happen... its just to what extent some exhausts will let that occur. if any are better than others.

Haha, same here.... same here. The 3.0L's found in the older Toyota trucks have that sort of distinctive sound very similar to the 3.4 as well.
