Ok replacing my suspension and am lost on what to get.

My truck is a 01 double cab prerunner has topper on it almost all the time. I may convert to 4x4 down the road. I'm more concerned about ride quality than lift. I want it to sit level with the top on or slightly higher in the back. Wont be adding a wench or changing the bumper I may add a bull bar. Will have single rail dirt bike carrier on a couple times a year

So do I go with 881s or 882s becauseits a double cab. and for the rear the 5 leaf pack or the dakar leafs and if the dakars do I go with the aal because of extra weight of the top?

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
I think 882's with Dakar's w/o top plate spacer, AAL and your topper should sit level.

Is your truck a 4 banger or v6?

I have an extra cab with 882's because my arb bumper. No winch.
It's definitely firm, but I I like a firm ride. Only thing that's annoying are speedbumps. I also have the dakar w/ the aal and no topper with the 65 med/heavy nitrochargers. I really like the aal on the extracab. It holds a load great, add's a little lift and make's the truck feel very sturdy. But it's also a firm ride.

If you have a four banger and no bumper you might want to get the 881's. But with a dc & topper. I'd get the dakars with the d6xl aal.

I ordered OME full suspension package from Wheelers offroad, with the 883 coils. Running a Shrockworks on front and ARE tall camper shell on the back. Need to AAL to the back to level it out.

The OME gave me just enough lift, but not turn int a monster truck. Rides great! Remember, no matter what you get, it will always be, and ride, like a truck.

A couple months ago I installed a full OME Kit 882's shocks, leaf springs the entire set up. I liked the ride even before the ARB bumper and winch. The ride is great overall in my opinion. If it were me I would not hesitate on 882's because the ride is good and you have options to add weight to the front later down the road. ie bumper, skid plates winch whatever you want. This stuff is expensive so I would definately give yourself some options and plan for the future upgrades. The manufacturer OME recommends the 882's for a double cab. Trust it you wont be disapointed.

    I have: 2004 Tacoma Double Cab V6
