Not sure, but a couple of things come to mind.

First is steering wheel lock preventing key coming out. Try rocking the steering wheel like you are turning and see if the key releases.

Other thought is perhaps an issue with the linkage or transmission mount system putting things in a bind. Crawl under and see if you see anything misaligned or if you have a broken mount.

First things that pop into my head. I'm sure others will chime in.

    Cheers

    4.88s,
Thanks the key came out the next morning and hasnt gotten stuck again. On the subject about the noise, im thinking its perhaps a ujoint? The noise only Occurs when im accelerating. It sounds like a light scraping noise.
