Thanks man. I can only imagine how much Toyota would charge for that part.

And it seems like with the way mine currently is, it would be prone for a bunch of crap to get into it.

I may have to "take a look under my friend's '02 hood" while he's not looking. :D

Was a PreRunner, now it isn't
just get a brass tube from HD or Lowes and put a nice curve in it. Ram that up in there and put a worm clamp on it.

So I went to Toyota, just to see what the price was for that part.

Turns out you can't get it. Never could.

He also explained to me that some trucks came with it and some didn't.

If the AC was installed at the factory, you got that 90 degree aluminum piece. If the AC was installed at the dealership as an option, you didn't.

I like the idea of a brass tube as opposed to plastic tubing due to heat displacement from the engine and exhaust.

My issue is, I am unable to locate this A/C drain line from under the car. I did see a black 1.5 inch rubber hose sticking horizontally through the firewall.

If somebody could take a picture and place a pointer or finger pointing to where I would insert the brass tube with a worm clamp, it would be much appreciated.

Thank you one an all for these exceptional mod write-ups.

I'm still confused as to where this a/c evaporation drain line is located, my passenger floorboard was sopping wet the other day. I have aan 01 Tacoma Prerunner. Any pictures would help tremendously, thanks

I blew air up in my drain line and tried a coat hanger wire also and mine still doesn't drain, but if I use my AC my floorboard will be wet, any suggestions now? Thanks ( 01 Tacoma Prerunner.

I'm a bit late but... It sounds like you need to disassemble the whole assembly. If you haven't fixed it pm me.

Great thread - showed me what to look for.
I had the same issue on my 2003. Turns out a dirt dauber had blocked the hole with dirt (truck sat for a while). The coat hanger trick did the job. There must have been about 10 ounces of water that poured out once the hole was unobstructed. Thanks for the help!

Mine is the opposite. It looks like something is leaking. It drains out so much. Lol.
I checked and it’s just the norm

Just replaced my *entire* AC system and the thing would literally drip for 10-12 hours straight after running for a cruise around town.

I HAVE the metal barb (factory AC option hell yea )

Pulled the barb out of the rubber doo-dad and out came a SH*T LOAD of water.

For me, the clog was in the metal barb itself.

Blew out a heap of trash from the metal piece, and we are golden. I'll be adding a section of hose to relocate any drops away from my frame / sway bar.

    Thanks, Crew.
