Just did a 1000 mile road trip, launch a boat, rear axle was in water for about 10 minutes total.

Drove home, noticed that the "rear diff lock" indicator light on the instrument panel came on. I pulled over, stopped, ran in all gears, engaged & disengaged the locker. Turned off the engine, re-started.

    No fix....

Continued to drive home. RR Diff Lock light sigal would come on bright, then slowly dim out, then come back. Then the ABS light next to it, would come on & off at diffrent times:confused:. At the moment the rear diff lock light is still on.

Any suggestions? Where should I start? I know that I need to crawl under there and check the connections, but that is all that I know what to do:confused:.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks..:D

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Wonder if it has something to do with the differential breathing hole that you may have gotten water in it causing a electrical malfunction???

God, I hope not. I just did the rear pinion seal and did diff fluid. I should have done that garge job with the hose extending from the breathing hole to the tail light...would of, should of, could of...any suggestions to figure out how to narrow this issue down, other than checking connections and disconnecting the neg batt cable? thanks

You can take apart your actuator and have a look. I had a problem with mine a couple years ago that was easily solved by following and rebuilding/regreasing my actuator.

check your wiring, if the light is coming on by itself it is quite possibly a grounding issue. You messed with the diff so it could be a result of that.

Also try searching "rr diff lock light" with this http://www.nwtoys.com/google/ It can be stubborn, and act like it's not finding results sometimes. Just keep clicking search if it doesn't find anything. I got like 10 pages

Man you guys are great, like a big brother with great advice. What about my stupid ABS light coming on & off also. The ABS light does what it wants, comes & goes. Still the same thing with the Locker light. When I get a free day to wrench I will attack the issue(s) and keep you all posted with pics and progress. Never had any brake issues

    thanks again...

I dont have abs, but im pretty sure that one models with abs, when the locker is engaged the abs is turned off and the light comes on. If im right, then they are connected and probably part of the same thing. If the truck thinks the rear is locked it will shut the abs off.
