as the title says my transmission is giving me some issues. this being my first truck with an MT i do not have much experience with them other than maintenance.

when shifting from 2-3 or 4-3 it feels like it the lever goes about 1/2" farther forward than the rest of the gears. i havent had any grinding, wierd sounds or pops. any ideas?

background is the trucks an 03 x-cab 3.4l/5spd with 129000 miles. i recently replaced the shift lever ball seats and sockets with parts from marlin. the slave and master cylinders are less than a year old and the clutch feels fine.
