anyone ever changed a lug bolt?

    Soo a few days ago i crossthreaded one of my lugs like a dumbass. I got it tight, but im definitely gonna need a new one. Anyone ever done one of these? How much trouble is it?

    pull rotor off, hammer out old stud, press in new one with a nut, done.

    Couple good swings with a hammer should do the trick. Look behind the hub to make sure there's clearance you might have to turn it to a certain position.

    one of the easiest things to chage.

    Is it the front or rear Forrest ?? The fronts (rotor are pretty easy) The rears are a little more work IIRC

    for the rear you just have to pull the drum off so yeah more work if they're rusted on or have a lip worn in them.

    front... I did one on a semi at work but didn't think it would compare to my pickup lol. Thanks guys. I'll get it done soon then!

    All the above techniques are what I do. Like someone said, pull off caliper and use a extension or chisel to hammer out old one. A tip that I found to work good with pressing the new one in is placing a few washers on the outside of the stud before tightening on the nut to press it in. This helps to prevent damage to the lug nut itself and also prevents the lug nut from bottoming out before the stud is fully presed in. Also, be sure to pump your brakes before driving again since you might of pushed the caliper pistons in a little while removing the caliper.
    You should be good to go and it's an easy and cheap fix!
