I recently replaced the struts in my 97 Tacoma. For reasons unknown, now while driving on uneven pavement or on pothole it wobble, feels like the tires are bouncing? Not to bad but enough for me to notice. I need to replace my steering rack but not sure if this could be causing this. Any of you guys have idea?

Is your steering rack going out or is it just the bushings?

Did you have a wheel alignment done after doing the front end work?

    Lug nuts torqued to spec?

    Just a few thoughts.

What bushings were you thinking? My boots on my rack are about shot and it leaks a bit. Would this cause a rough ride?

Turn your steering wheel while watching your rack under the car. If its moving around a bit you should replace those bushings.

Get someone to bounce the bumper around and see if you can see anything moving under there that looks suspect. Pay particular attention to the work you just did ie strut assembly.

Try to bounce it as aggressively as possible

Now looking into it I'm thinking my strut is bad. What's the chances of me putting defective shock in? I installed them like a month ago and havnt taken it offload besides gravel roads. Thanks for the help guys. Information is much appreciated
