Need opinions on 2000 Tacoma pricing

So im trying to get my dad to ditch his ford and buy this 2000 Taco http://tulsa.craigslist.org/cto/3207883553.html looks to be in prestine condition but maybe a little high price wise. Also anyone who drives similiar truck what kind of MPG are yall gettin. and pros & cons if any please

in 2006 i bought a 1999 Pre Runner with 87,000mi for $9500. now it has 205,000mi.

$8800 seems high to me with 173K on it. Did you check KBB for a price? I think the last time I checked mine it was worth around $7K. I have a stick, but only 110K miles.

I love my 2000...no real complaints to speak of. I get about 22 MPG highway (at 65 MPH) and around 15 MPG city.

 

I find it to be a little high. It's got a lot of miles but hey thats what toyota's are known for. Lasting forever! It looks real clean but you may be able to talk him down a bit. And thats the thing when people put their pride into their estimate for their vehicle. Nice find I would keep looking

 

It's gonna need an $800 timing belt service very soon.

Truck looks a little crusty. Notice the cig burn marks on the drivers seat, and the missing AC lever handle button. I'm sure the truck is going to stink like ciggs. Those are all cosmetic things though if you can get past that and the truck is mechanically sound I would offer 6,500.

**One more thing I noticed is it is missing the TRD Flares. Wonder what the deal is with that.
