This thread will probably get closed as soon as it starts but thats ok.

Now, I don't know everything about building trucks but I have been around a few.

I HAVE NEVER SEEN A SAS DONE FOR $2500! EVER!

If you think your the only on who can, good for you. But don't start knocking those that have built their trucks, Paid for them in cash no matter what the cost may have been, and have actually wheeled them.

Yes, my truck is very expensive and it was paid off the moment a torch went to it and everything that was put into it along with the labor was either paid for or donated. But you cannot compare my truck with a normal sas because I have way more into it than just a mere sas.

We have built trucks that had parts donated along with time and money, one in particular for a friend who was serving our country, built it with leaf springs and a bunch of donated parts and it was still way over $2500.00.. Hell, an average long travel by itself is more than that if done right.

$8,000.00 to $10,000.00 grand will get you a very good sas that is done right, is street worthy, and can wheel some very good trails. But thats the key.

Do it right! What ever you build do it right. But if you don't, don't come on here bashing those that have and start thinking you know more than those that have actually gotten their hands dirty, scraped some knuckles, and spent their hard earned cash on.

Here are some trucks I've had a hand in helping build from advice to doing it all. What have you done in your 8years of wrenching.

Now I can't take full credit or half credit for most of these trucks. Not even mine. There were tons of people who helped build, design, fabricate and just hold wrenches on all of these trucks. People are putting their hard work an sweat into builds just like these and then someone who hasn't built a damn thing comes and think they have the golden egg to a $2500 SAS. IT CAN"T BE DONE RIGHT! so stop trying to convince those that have built theirs that it can.

    Nice trucks!

Besides a $2500 SAS rant, what are you upset about? I am lost, was someone offering this or arguing it with you? What did I miss?

The thread was closed that this is pertaining too. Some 16 year old kid thinks he knows more than everyone here who has built their trucks.

Drives me nuts. Most of the time I leave it alone. But when they bring me into, thats when i get mad.

This thread will get closed too I'm sure but thats ok. I just can't stand by anymore with people giving others false info about building trucks.

I think he's sick of the 16 year olds saying that if you spend more than 2500 on your SAS you wasted your money. :notsure:

Edit: WAY too slow  Looks like I hit the 16 year old kid thing right on the mark lol.

    lol ^

i would have to think it was complete ignorance on the subject if the kid was arguing with wyatt he obviously has absolutely no idea what he is talking about.

arguing with this guy about building a sas toyota is just funny i personally don't think i have seen a nicer build than his.

on a side note i was contemplating going with diamond axles front and rear iirc "tacoma width" 61. something inches wide on an 87 runner. so my question is how do the diamond axles stack up against the rock jocks, dyna tracs and some of the other premium custom axles?

    tia wyatt.
