fender flare removal?

    has anybody on here ever removed there factory fender flares? and if did how did it look?

    ya i gotta 1st gen. i kno some of the older tacos didnt come with fender flares and they didnt look bad. just not sure if its the same affect with the ones that have factory flares

    No. There are some screws you need to take off first and then firmly pop each of the clamp things off.

    Winch, front hitch, step bars, bed extender, bed step, gull-wing toolbox, tailgate lock, security system, cb radio, etc.
    Been discussed many times before (including how to). In short, you can obviously remove the fender flares. You can see many examples in the image threads. The negatives include the remaining mounting holes and increased scratches or dents to the sides of the vehicle. The modification may also impact the resale value of the vehicle. Of course, the holes can be patched and the vehicle repainted. Only you alone can decide if the appearance is desirable enough to override any negatives.

    the ones for the 01-04 have plastic clips as well as screws. its almost impossible to not break the clips. I know that the ones for just the back two wheel wells are 80 bucks...

    one of my friends has an 04 and his dad said the clips were 80 bucks for the two rear wheel wells :notsure: that is from toyota though, so its guaranteed to cost 50% more at least

    everybody knos toyota parts are laid in gold if u look to pay for them from a dealership.haha

    i prolly wont take mine off. i was just wonderin how it would look. i dont want those screw holes showin all the time and i damn sure aint payin to get it patched and painted
