greeting im a newbie with a 2001 toyota tacoma prerunner with 203,xxx miles I just bought for 5 grand what a deal....my question is at that mileage whats recommended to be done? I know I have a timing chain and it doesn't seem to be making a crazy noise but when is it recommended to change it? Also should I go with synthetic oil and other fluids? Question of that nature thanks for all the help in advance....

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.
    First..Seafoam it.

    then get new

Plugs and wires, all fluids, air filter, possibly new water pump

    clean MAF and throttle body.

    enjoy the truck

if you say its a timing chain them ill assuming its the 3rz 4 banger motor, wouldn't hurt to change that..but they do last a long time.

You don't need to change the timing chain unless you have so much slack it's slapping around in there.
