Seafoam field notes

Just added about half a can of seafoam via the TB vaccum line. Had my pops accompany me to keep the engine alive while I fed the SF into the line; used a funnel and slowly added it, never fully pouring it all so the vacuum line was always taking in air.

Shut the engine off and let it sit for about 6 minutes. Started it up; a fair amount of smoke but it didn't last as long as I've seen/read from other peoples reports. Drove it about 5 miles, took it on the freeway.

The seafoam website says that when the engine is at operating temp, the vaccum line will feed to all the cylinders, this true?


All in all the truck does idle smoother. I have put some in the oil or gas yet but plan to when I return home.

 

That was my experience with it as well. I didn't get anywhere near the smoke others have reported, but it definitely idled more smoothly when done.
