So awhile ago i noticed after my truck sitting in the sun for a while and i would get in it it would feel really muggy. i started to think i had a windshield/window/door seal leak...tested by watering down each window and door....no leaks (i will try again tm to be 100% on that). about a week ago i was cleaning my truck out and took the floor mat off aand my carpet was wet with stale smelling water. scrubbed it and dried it with fan...Then tonight i just had the urge to check it. it was wet again. i then proceeded to take the carpet up and bam...all of the sound dampening material is soaked...WTF....it is wet from the pedals back to under the seat...i checked pass. side and it was dry as a bone. Whats the problem here?
P.S. no spills or hard rain since the first time i found it. oh and no mudding or water crosings either.

Weird. Normally a clog evaporator drain on your A/C will soak the passenger side.

I'd still check to see if it's clogged or not.

Look at your passenger side firewall and you'll see a rubber port (more than likely with a bent piece of aluminum tubing coming out of it). Take a coat hanger and poke it clean.

There is a grommet under the drivers side seat, in heavy rain water could get kicked up there, I'd check that first. Then I'd look at the grommet that's behind the e-brake pedal.

I had this on my first Gen. Check the weep hole under the hood in front of the firewall and the windshield seal. I don't know which one was the culprit for me because I cleaned the hole and had the window replaced the same day. Good luck.

Update: still drying the carpet. had some time and let a hose run onmy roof for about 5 min....found a leak. hopefully the source and mostlikely is. My amp power wire coming through the fire wall has pushed the gromet far enough out of the way and a steady stream of water was flowing in. so i am thinking a little caulk will fix it.
