Hey everyone ! Just recently purchased a 2004 xtra cab limited ! It came with 2.5 inch rev tech lift (hockey puck style) on the front and inch blocks on the rear. I'm wondering what the advantages are to the lift? I hear they make it a bit more rougher to drive? Anyway im trying to decide to keep the lift or not, what is your guys opinion?

Since you are probably on the stock shocks. I would suggest ditching the current setup and investing in either a set of Bilstein 5100s, or Bilstein or OMEs with new coils.

    What dan said!
I had a revtec on my truck when I bought it and it rode like crap. I've since upgraded to some Fox CO's and some AP rear leafs with 5125 Bilsteins and its night and day better

It's a very rough ride for the first week or so. But after it settles it won't be as bad. But like suggested, Ditch that lift and go with a more popular lift. I'm running a revtek with AAL and I'm waiting for my Dakar leaf springs to come in to swap the revtek with my new ome 886.

Just my 2 cents. Don't care much for the incoil spacers...

Dont care for ANY spacers! lol
Seriously though the preload(in-coil as you call them) add stiffness to the ride, and the thick 2.5-3" lift top plate lift spacers over extend the suspension on down travel, then use the shock bottoming as a bump stop. CV's and ball joints die from over extension, and shock shafts break from slamming bottom vs hitting the bump stop.

Valid point. That's why I'm swapping my revtek for my OME. And I honestly wouldn't recommend spacer lifts to anyone.

only 'good' is the increase in height, if you like a lifted truck

Look more into the actual coil lifts, not spacers. Ebatch I think is what they're called. Old man emu ( OME ) or even the adjustable bilsten shocks. Or the higher end, fox, icon, Evan walker... You can check them out on toytec lifts.com and allprooffroad.com just to name 2
