Sup gear monkeys, I'm redoing my suspension from the previous owner who had it rigged up all janky with some sort of unknown, blown out after market adjustable coil over and a top plate spacer. I don't know how much lift it provides but it clears the 285/75/16's I have on there now. I'm wanting to switch over to OME and don't want to go the 881 with the spacer route cause spacers are for mongoloids, not running a plate bumper or a which in the future so 882 is out of the question too. I saw on toy techs web site that using 883 with the trim packer and no spacer will provide 3' of lift which I'm pretty sure will clear the 285's. And truthfully I think 2.5 is all I need. But then I was going to order my kit from wheelers because their kit comes with the extra u-bolts and greasable shackles which I need because I'm redoing the rear too with the dakars and it currently has a drop shackle on it which I want to get rid of. But reading on wheelers site it states that 883 has the same lift as 881? Looking for a some insight and I know I'm probably over looking some thing here but If some one would be so kind as to clear the air on this mess I would love you long time.:D

Wheelers site says the 883s are the same free height as the 881s but they are made of 16.5mm wire vs 16mm on the 881s and they have a spring rate of 590lb vs 500lb thus giving more lift than 881s. So yes, Toytec is correct that you could get the trim packer and 883s and get enough lift to clear your 285s.
