So I have notices lately that my AC is dripping condensation onto my passenger side floor mat and I don't know why. I have also noticed that AC hasn't been as cold as it should be and am wondering if those problems could coincide. Any help would be awesome!

I believe this is from a clogged drip line, someone on here had same problem and used a wire coat hanger to jam up in it to unclog it. I think you can get to it under the truck....I'm not sure really... :)

I had the same problem a month ago.

There is a drain plug on the firewall in the engine bay. Pop the hood and (from the front of the vehicle) look at the back left. It should have a gray 90 degree 3 inch hose coming from a black outlet. Its just a press fit so you can pull it right out. Give it a few shots of compressed air and make sure the hose is free of obstructions. Be ready for a bunch of water to come out.

It's water from your ac evaporator because the hose is plugged. Usually spider webs up in there.

    That was me

Just an FYI, mine was missing that 90 degree aluminum piece, so all I have is the black nipple coming through the firewall.

I would just use a coat hanger, and not compressed air (could just blow a whole bunch of crap into your evaporator box), and poke the drain free.

I had about two or three cups worth of water and crap coming pouring out of the drain.

    That solved the problem

So i used a coat hanger today and cleaned the little hose out and nothing came out so that doesn't seem to be the problem?

Be careful which silicone sealants you use on metal, I have heard that acid curing types will rust and corrode metal badly. I did the floor plugs in a old car I had and it made the situation worse!!

My drivers side was wet. I took the Shop Vac out and got the water out. I peeled the carpet up and let it dry over the weekend. Where was the problem?

That plastic box is your evaporator box for your AC.

You sure it's not clogged up and leaking?

I know you poked out the drain plug but maybe it's clogged inside.

Since it hasn't rained and yours is coming from the evaporator box it sounds like it is your problem .
