ok, my buddy has hella HID's in his stock headlight housings. does anyone know where i can buy actual Hella HID kits, I DO NOT WANT OFFROAD LIGHTS AND ALL THAT MESS. I NEED A NEW SET OF HELLA HID BULBS ONLY!

He already has ballasts, we dont need ballasts. we only need a new set of 9006 (chevy) Hella HID bulbs

why are you yelling? so sounds like you need to go to ebay, type in hid, hella and 9006

also just so you know while hella does make bulbs however they do not make a 9006. so what you most likely have is a hella bulb that has been rebased.

Im not trying to yell, just i know if i post that without stating what i did in caps. ill get a bunch of crap about all these offroad lights and junk. and i have a fact indeed. the bulbs are a 9006 they have black and blue wire. and the ballasts are big metal ones. they have hella stamped on the sticker that describes all the stuff like 35w 10000k and what not. the bulbs are not re-(whatever you put) they are original whatever they are. i ordered a new set of bulbs from racing touch. the 10k and 35w. plugged them in and nothing came on. so im assuming they arent compatable with the ballasts. the problem were having. to see if any of yall know whats going on with the old set. both ballasts are good, because one of the bulbs work, we checked this last night, but one of the bulbs when you plug it in you can watch it try to arc and come on. but the ballast gives some kind of buzzing code once its plugged in and it will do this at the ballast plug or at the switch plug. (the two big plugs)

couple of things. put one of the good bulbs on the burnt out side and see if it lights. if it does then at least you know its the bulb and not ballast.

now saying that, hella never made a 10k bulb as thats just retarded. anything above 5k and you are loosing light output and gaining ricer/retardation lol

also, hella never made a 9006. hell any real company never did. only d2s and d2r style bulbs. most others are rebased.

take a pic of what you have and we can figure this out.

    I've got 32,000,000k on my keyring :D

15 years ago, if you had told me that in 2012 I'd have 32g in my pocket, I'd have asked what anyone would need that much memory for, and what have you been smoking and can I have some!

15 years ago my computer only had 4m of RAM and a 200m hard drive.

I don't think that day ever existed :D
    Bahh...

My first computer had only 4k and used a Z80 microprocessor.

The first one that I built was an 8-bit 8088 for my buddy's mom.
    1meg of RAM, 4.77Mhz, single 360k 5.25" floppy drive.
    Whopping 4-color CGA display!

6 months later, I built a 12Mhz 16-bit 80286 with 4 meg of RAM, 720k and 1.4meg floppies, and about 200 meg of hard drive space.

Spent over $1000 on a modem.

First program I wrote was for a WANG on punched cards. No keyboard, no monitor.
Just a card "eater" and a printer.
Killed a lot of trees with that old machine. The card reader, processor, and printer took up about 12 feet of wall space in the math lab.
