I'm looking to move from my 2008 doublecab prerunner to an extremely clean one owner 4wd extra cab with 131000 miles. The mileage makes me abit nervous but I know tacomas are always solid. No frame rust in fact owner had undercoating done when new. Just wanted some second opinions. Thanks in advance.

use your judgement, but i dont see anything wrong with 131k as long as it was maintained properly

That's good on the mileage unless you put a lot on each year.

Light bar and bumper guard, 3/16 steel skid plates for engine, tranny and transfer box, OME 881 springs with 5100 shocks at mid clip. AAL in rear. Positraction rear diff.
These trucks last a long time if taken care of. Many people get well over 200,000 and 300,000 is not unheard of. Have a good mechanic look it over and give his opinion.

Bought mine at 125,000 or so. I have owned lots of different jeeps and trucks over the years and its pretty easy to tell which ones have been used/abused off road just by looking in the engine compartment. Its virtually impossible to get it perfectly clean after it gets really dirty. Basically if it has been well taken care of, 131,000 is not a big deal at all. I'm pushing 200,000 now and besides oil changes I've probably spent less than $100 on maintenance

If its clean.. 131k if fairly low mileage around here. Purchased mine with 125k and was lucky to get it. Def glad I own it. :)

Just watch out for that rust. I had mine undercoated when new and touched up every year for the first 5 years. All it did was hide the frame rust longer.

131,000? It's just getting broken in. I wouldn't blink an eye at that amount of miles.
