FJ Cruiser Wheels on Tacoma

I'm looking to buy a 2002 Tacoma TRD. The one I'm looking at has new all-season radials and new wheels from 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser, Would these be bigger than the stock tires for the Tacoma?

Are there any major drawbacks to this setup?

There is no difference really other than the tire might be a little bit bigger. I have the same wheels on my 4runner with no problems

I think stock size on an 02 Tacoma TRDOR was 265/70/16.

The wheels you're looking at are 17s, which means the tire size is probably 265/70/17

You should be good to go.

A 265/70r16 tire is a ~31" tire. This would have been the stock size for a 1st gen TRD model.

A 265/70r17 is a ~32" diameter tire, so larger that stock size.

The tires in the pic do look larger that stock and the FJ wheels are definitely larger that stock. To be certain about the overall diameter, look for the actual size molded into the tire sidewall.

Cool thanks for the help that was very useful.

So this wouldn't be enough of a difference to make much of a difference in anything, including mpg?
