When I bought my tacoma I knew that one of the previous owners had spray painted some parts of the interior.:frusty: I also thought it would be easier to find a good photo of how the dash, mainly the heat/defrost controls would look.
This is what mine looks like
    photo4_ec778b100d322d287688b74b561b4c57f4b2709a.jpg

Can someone post a photo of how that should look. Or tell me which switch position is which. I have found defrost (I think) but could really use some clarification. Thanks!

You could always get stickers made and put the in the right spots if you have a picture to go off of.

And you felt comfortable buying a truck from this guy?

If it were me, I'd just hunt out a used/part out climate control trim panel

The truck runs like a top! and for the money I paid I could not pass it up. Brand new wheels and tires, brand new exhaust manifold, brand new cat, brand new heater core, brand new rear suspension, brakes done couple thousand miles ago. almost zero rust, and a two owner clean title car. The guy was just down on his luck and needed cash I think. I could tell he had a hard time letting the truck go.

Ill take a pic or two, it alsmost seems like it is one you could buy that is made to look like a screw driver. Its not just some phillips stuck into the floor. Youll see though.

    Yeah, that's janky.

Your truck would love you if you detailed the hell out of its interior too.

Yeah, really. I'd start by "restoring" the inside and giving the truck a good cleaning.

I sure hope you got a good deal on that truck...

Yeah it definitely really needs a good cleaning. Haven't had much time to spend on the truck cause I'm wrapping up the projects on my BMW. I only paid $2200 for the truck so I feel like it is what it is. Runs and drives awesome though. I would like to just get new interior all together here at some point.

Pulled it off last night, its actually a shift knob you can buy. not just a screw driver. I like it to tell you the truth.

was going through the interior sunday morning and decided that next weekend im going to strip it, remove the carpet and do the hurculiner interior. I did it on my buddys jeep a year or so ago and it came out great. my carpet is gross so it needs to go.
