Rear bumper step pads?

My truck got backed into by the neighbors daughter and she hit my rear bumper. The only damage is the step pad is chewed up a bit. Can I get just the pad or would I have to get the whole bumper? I'm trying not to make her pay anymore than she has to. Thanks, Mike

 

those pieces just kinda unsnap so to speak, so you should be able to get them separately. try trdparts4u.com

 

Easy to take off and replace. From inside the bumper, you'll see plastic tabs sticking through slots in the bumper. Just squeeze them from underneath, applying light prying pressure to teh top of the bumper pad. Work your way around being careful to disengage each tab, and it'll pop right out. I am sure they sell them individually, or better yet, try a salvage yard!

 

That's all you need to know if you want to replace the plastic...

In my opinion you should just cut yourself a piece of 2x6 steel tubing to replace the whole bumper. You'll never have to worry about those pesky teenagers (or elderly drivers) again.

 

Thanks guys. I just got time today to look at it. It pops right off with a little pry. They want $107 for a set at the dealer. I don't know if they sell as a set or individually.

The insurance company bought me a new bumper, and it came with everything.
