Just finally got my hands on a nice 2004 regular cab truck but the previous owner was apparently not dainty! The bench seat is badly broken on the driver's side, metal snapped. Would like to replace, wondered if the body is set up for either bench or bucket seats, and where can I buy them (prefer bucket is the frame will accept). No luck at local junk yards, may have to buy after market.

    Appreciate any comments or leads.

The PreTaco RC came with buckets if you got the SR5 package.
Not sure if that is true with the 1st Gens or if the PreTaco buckets would fit a 1st Gen.
It should be easy to check the bolt pattern to see if they will fit (and if there is a place to bolt the inner rail to).
I know some on here have done the bench to bucket swap (don't know if they were 1st or 2nd Gens), try searching.
