    alot of metal, small engine, decent travel.
    caged, camburg long travel, 50t leafpack (soon to be installed) light rack over cab, 5pt harnesses etc
    someone on here will know what size ring gear to get, i forget.

    and for a rear locker theres alot of different options, you can do something like a detroit (always locked) lock rite (not always locked, clicks around corners if your not on the gas to save tires) arb ( push button air locker)

    You have whats referred to as an 8.4" rear differential, even though the ring gear diameter is actually 8" .
    Look on the sticker by the driver door pillar to see the axle code.
    Yours might be B06A (3.91 gear ratio).

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think B07A mean you have a 8" rear with 4.30 gears and an open diff.

    If you daily drive this vehicle I would recommend a truetrac for the rear end. I have one and its nice if you are 2wd and have to deal with snow.

    Non TRD is the "8.4" (still 8") diff.
    You have 4.30's.

    I'm fairly sure the 8.4" ring gear measures out to 8.18" actual
    But it's always referred to, when ordering, as the 8.4"

    The 8" would be the TRD axle (8")

    ^ both share the 7.5" front diff

    * earlier Trucks and 4runners also came with a 8" diff (7.87")
    tho' it cannot interchange with the Tacoma TRD axle
