    Does anyone have any experience??

A local Toyota shop said about $560 per side due to special machine shop tools/work needed to rework the hub. That's a lot higher than I expected. Ugh.

I haven't done a prerunner but besides it having a drive flange instead of an axleshaft it's supposed to be the same as a 4wd. I have done those a few times. Not really a big deal if you have a hydraulic press. I remove the entire spindle, press out the hub, remove the snap ring, and press out the bearing. Putting the new one in is the reverse pretty much. They usually take me about 2 hours a side. My "special tools" consist of some big 1/2" drive sockets and a few flat arbor plates to hold the spindle in the press. And the press of course. Nothing that any decent shop wouldn't have. I would check around. Or if you have a second vehicle take the spindle off and have a machine shop do the press work for you.

special tools shouldn't enter into the cost. Should be shop book hours + consumables.
