I know this is not an uncommon theft but its just one of those things that you think will never happen to you. Well it did . Luckily they left both sensors attached so all I will need is a new Cat and some pipe.

I was livid . My buddy from work has a tacoma just like mine and his got stolen from the parking lot at work. Mine was stolen right in front of my house. I have webcams set up out front but all i saw were headlights behind my truck.

For now I just fitted a pipe to fill the void of the missing cat but its extremely loud and smells like a damn go cart.

Ive looked into prevention methods and found some interesting ideas.
Anyways just thought id let the community know its still happening.

I was thinking of upgrading my exhaust. I figure im gonna spend a bunch on a cat and pipe might as well spend a little more and get a catback or something. Luckily i just passed smog last month.

Not so much fun in California.

We can't just go out and buy a Magnaflow high-perf cat to replace the stolen unit. Our cats have to be CARB-Approved or the vehicle won't pass smog.

A California-legal cat costs about double what a 49-state cat costs.
