Been taking a hiatus from TW for a bit, due to a new career, but I'm back. So here we go, my Taco has about 103,500 miles on it, and the supercharger has been installed for about 80,000. What are some of the tell tale signs of needing to replace the nose cone on the S/C? I have been looking for rebuild kits and they seem reasonably priced. I feel that it has lost some oomph in the last 10k or so. Stay classy Tacoma World...

Probably can use a rebuild but you should know if it really needs it. Really depends on how hard you drive it :notsure:

Under hard acceleration, the immediate throttle response it had is now lacking...seems like it may be time. Is this a difficult project for a DIY'er? How much time will it take?

Not sure. Probably should be done professionally though if you dont know. Jump in your local thread and see if anyone by you can do it or if they can recomend a shop.

Would you rebuild the nose yourself? I dont know if you a nose rebuild would help acceleration. It will just make the sc last longer.
I am planning on changing the oil in mine soon
