aftermarket 15" rims. What will fit?

Hey so I am looking into getting a set of rims for my 97 tacoma 4x4. I know this has been covered many times but I need help. I dont know if i should go with 8" or 10" wide.But the backspacing may not work. I have 33x10.50x15 BFgoodrich all terrains now, just got em so I wanna stay with the 15" rim. Im looking online on 4wheelparts but hear with the backspacing they wont fit. Any help would be great.

You don't want 10" wide wheels with a 10.50 tire. A 15x8 is what you want. Even a 15x7 will work fine. I would try and stick with about 4.25-4.5" backspacing if you don't want rubbing. 3.75" backspacing works too but they will stick out and rubbing is an issue unless you have a good amount of lift.

 

10.5s are stock width so 7.5'' rim with 4.5'' BS or 8'' rim will just over 4'' will be the minium.

farther you push the wheel out the more it'll catch the fenders. nothing some cutting can't fix.

 

another thing you need to consider (I just learned the hard way) is whether you have manual locking hubs or not?

if you dont have manual locking hubs then you need at least 106mm hub borem if you do have manual locking hubs the hub bore needs to be about 4" for the wheels to fit around the manual hubs.

Personally I went with 8" wide and 4.5 BS with 0 offset, they look great on the truck I think

 

Black rock 15" aluminum wheels with 4" back spacing. I have these with 33x10.50x15 bfg atko tires. They are a really nice wheel.

 

toyotaco02. how big of a lift do you have and any wheelspacers or anything? what do you guys think about spacers? also what is the backspacing on those rims? that is the look i am going for. Im looking at some pro comp steelies and some mickey thompson steelies. they both have 3.75 BS. I have a 3" lift i just dont know how close to the calliper it would run

I am running ome 881 with top plate spacer. I am sitting at 39.5" to the fender with a 33" tire. The black rock wheels have a 4" back spacing. No I don't have any wheel spacers.

 

If you want a steel rim then go to wheelers off road. They have 15" steel rims that are guaranteed to clear the caliper. I used to run them they are a nice rim.

 

i like that rim alot and if itll fit im all for it. I think ill order them tomorrow. do they have a hubcap option?

 

Are you talking about the steel rim from wheelers or the black rock rim? The wheelers steel rim has a hub cap option but most people just paint their hubs black and run with no hub cap. On the black rock rim they use a cover over the lug nuts held on by an Allen screw. Black rock rims are available through discounttiredirect.com with free shipping.
