Ok,,I bought a used 1996 Tacoma 4x4 2.7liter automatic.I checked all the fluids when i bought it,and changed all.The problem is,,,Advance Auto Parts shows 2.1 quarts to refill for just a fluid change.I did not drop the pan and change the filter, just a fluid change.I put 2.5 quarts back in it and cranked her up and went through all the gears and even drove it and got it hot. With just 2.5 quarts in it,its no where near the dipstick full level, but it drives and shifts fine.Do I keep adding fluid to it till it reaches the full mark?????
