I saw a second gen bumper and the guy said it was some guy that lives in WA and cuts all the steel and ships it so all you have to do is weld it and paint it...Its just plate bumper with fogs, wench hookup, and mounting brackets for shackles on the front. He said its only $350 for the kit and i was wondering if anyone knew if he made it for first gen?

Go find a local shop or some truck place...Lucky for me my older brother decided to get a welder and start welding in his free time a couple years ago:D

The thing is, im sure you could pay the dude a hundred bucks or so, and have him send you the templates, so you can have them cut local too.

Lets face it, he's near portland oregon.

There is a few members here that have then. Check out the last few pages of the nw Washington meet thread. A guy by the name of 55chevy taco or something has one and he welded it together himself. A silver dc and his name is talon. Shoot him a pm

    Hope this helps!

Not a bad deal if you can weld them cheap/free. I can get stuff laser cut and welded at work for free, so if I had those plans I would have a free bumper. I might talk to the guy and see what it takes to get the plans.

That's what I'm going to do. I'll email him tonight and see if I can work out a deal for the plans. Most likely I won't be able to distribute them to y'all though if he says yes. I'm used to confidentiality deals though. I can cut everything myself so I don't see why he can't help a brother out.
