Bobbed my bed!

Was planning on building a flatbed on my tacoma but figured I could bob it meanwhile with the only cost being a few hours of my time! I think it turned out pretty good, took 11" out of it. Didn't take a whole lot of pictures though, going wheelin in the snow tomorrow so will take some more then Still have a little body work to do and need to trim my bumper down and put it back on.

That does look like some clean work. I'm curious as to why you would want to make the bed shorter though. Just for looks/fun/experience? Either way it came out nice.

Looks badass. Mainly though is deproach angle.

 

Makes sense. I'm new to the off-road scene but I can see how it would prevent the rear end from dragging over extreme transitions. My truck is just a work truck but maybe one day I can use it for fun.

 

Mine is too. My toy was a Sami, now it's an older version of the Sami.

Approach/deproach angle is HUGE when you're out wheeling. Plus you can squeeze in tighter spots with a shorter rig.

 

exactly, my reasons were 1. I get bored a lot. 2. Excuse to use my welder 3. helps departure angle and 4 It looks kind of cool.. Thanks again for the compliments! here is one more pic of the all pro bumper I have
