I bought my '04 TRD V6 ExCab Auto PreRunner brand new in Dec of '03. It was $22k after tax, tags, and Cali-emissions. It had 12 miles on it and 8 came from my test drive.

Today it has 174,000 miles on it and every single mile came from me. I take care of my truck with regular maintenance and I don't think I'll have any problems getting 300,000 miles out of it.

Something of note... I go to the auto show every year when it comes to town and I climb all over the new Tacomas, Tundras, and FJ Cruisers. I'd love to have one, but I just can't justify spending 30k+ on a new truck. I know I'm old, but I can remember when a $250 car payment was a hefty car payment... Now a days, guys spend $500+ a month on their truck and don't even blink to do so.

In 99 my truck was imported from Canada to Tacoma, WA. My dad was on his way to the hospital to see my grandfather before he passed away. My dad saw the truck, hating his truck because it was 2wd and wasn't safe enough for him to drive me around( I was 2)on his way home my dad stopped at the dealer and traded his red 2wd long bed regular cab 22re for what is now my 98 v6 xtra cab 4x4 DLX with 7,000 miles on it. They wanted 19k don't know what he paid with trade in. I can remember my dad driving me around with my little honda xr70 In the back. Now days its me driving around with my cr250 in the back. It will probably never get sold again, will probably be with me for the rest of my life!

I picked up a super clean 2000 reg cab 4cyl/5spd 4x4 with 109k mi last week for $10k out the door. Had a another one like it lined up for the same price but with 77k mi (and black) and the jerk sold it after he said he'd hold it for a day...I'm happy with the one i got and starting to mod it up a little.
