I just pulled my truck into shop. ran for 20 seconds. Its cold out. i try and spin the fan and there is no play and it is kinda hard to spin. and when i release the blade it stops dead. When i accelerate i always here a weird dry sound. I think it may be the fan clutch in front of motor.

My clutch fan works great and it is the same way. It's 50 degrees in my garage right now and I can't even get a quarter turn out of it when I try to spin it and release it and that's how I always remember it behaving.
