I was wondering if there is a way to make a stock bumper into a offroad bumper I know it will take some work but any ideas?

IMO the stock bumper is too flimsy. i.e. it won't be significantly different than removing the bumper completely.

I don't know about making it into an off road bumper , not much to work with but def. it could be integrated with some kind of tube bumper, just waiting for someone to do it. This is as close as I've come...

Well thats what I'm saying, theres not much to work with, but with some tubing & a bender, a few welds & it can't be that hard

I think by the time you are done, you won't need the remnants of the OEM bumper anymore...

It depends on if you want looks or utility, certainly the plastic could be trimmed to give a more aggressive off road look. The stock bumper is pretty flimsy though, light enough to lift with one finger, so if you plan on winches and such a proper bumper is the way to go.

x2 the stock brackets aren't strong enough to support much more than whats on it now....

Yeah its a straight up bolt on affair, its easy, plus with the newer bumper you can unbolt the lower plastic valance..

When I had my stock bumper I trimmed 14" of plastic off, un believeable

Well it IS plastic & I cut it easily with some sheetmetal snips, & I relocated my turn signals into the side marker buckets

It's late and I am about to crash, so I don't know if you mean front or rear bumper?

I replaced mine with another... and Josh (my Raceworks team member stepson) took my twisted one to make an off road bumper for me using the stock frame as a base for matching the attachment points, etc.
