My 98 Tacoma x/cab has a faulty drivers seat belt issue. The metal bracket/frame the belt is pulled through right after the roller is causing the belt to fray along the length of one edge. It gets so bad the excessive frayed material gets hung up in the roller not allowing the belt to come out any further. Has anyone ever had this problem and/or has anyone ever heard of a recall for Toyota seat belts???

    Thanks,

    1frkdog

Mine won't retract. Got to manually feed it back in when I take it off

Mine is fraying a little on the driver's side.
passenger side gets less use I suppose.

I doubt there would ever be a recall on wear and tear issues.

If it's real bad... it's just time for replacement.

mine is really bad. I have to heat up the cigarette lighter and burn it so it stops pealing.
