I have an 03 extended cab it's silver and I want to remove the bottom plastic part of the front bumper and then put the blinkers on the part just above that and then hang two shackles with a bit of chain hanging between them to give my truck a beefy look on the front without spending a lot of money. Anyone have any pictures?
Sch0ennes did the plastic bumper part delete to his but does anyone else have pictures or links to other builds?

    Search for the member 4WD.

He has an 01-04 bumper on his front end and he removed the lower valence (the plastic/vinyl piece)

I looked at his and that's basically exactly how I want my truck to look. I don't know if he had to drill the bumper though to get the new blinkers installed. Also it looks like he deleted the metal reinforcement piece that is hidden behind the plastic piece that I want to delete (not sure if that's safe/legal or not )

I think he deleted the bumper blinkers all together and moved them to his corner markers.

I've got a 2000 with front bumper off of an '02 & its a straight up change out, nothing to cut, bens, or fab, bolts right up & the plastic valance un screws also, very easy...

Is that a sheet of metal or what that is above your stock skidplate ? I'm wondering how to get my valence off do I have to snap any of those stupid clips? Or is it all just bolts. Also, did you remove the solid metal brace that attachs to the front of the frame? it's like two or so feet long.. I like how yours looks, since there's that extra piece of skid whatever it is it makes it look like a custom front bumper. but cheaper. I also have two shackles hanging from mine just like you do, going to buy some chain tomorrow :yay:

    a lot lol
Removed valence, crush cans and factory skid plate mount. made a new mount out of some c channel that gave readitor protection and a really solid skid mount. also added blinkers for a temp. use.

What you see is a piece of steel mesh off of a giant server rack, super strong, & it passes alot of air to the radiator as well as protection & believe me I've landed from jumps with it, ran straight into banks with it too, so far has held up, I didn't have a piece of metal spanning the frame heads on mine..

Ahh I see maybe since your truck is a few years older it doesn't have that metal piece on the frame. Mine is an 03 and has them. Did you just undo a couple bolts to get off the valence?
