I know this topic is beat to death but I can't find anything by searching, so I need options.

It's a 96 and I highly doubt it was ever inspected by Toyota, I guess the frame doesn't look too bad but IDK. I really need to know my prevention options because I don't want to lose her to the rust cancer.:(

    So what should I do?

Start spraying an aerosol rust converter around. [IMG]

I'm wondering how to get it sprayed inside the frame, like full coverage.

Spray it through holes to the inside of the frame the best you can.

That frame looks fine to me. If you can't feel any loose rust inside the frame it's likely fine. However there are products made specifically for coating the inside of frames from Eastwood. Both their internal frame coating (what I used on my 96 which did have frame rot) and their rust encapsulator are available with a nozzle end. It's basically a hose with a radial-patterned tip on it. You attach it to the can, stick the hose as far into the framerail as you can, and pull it back out slowly as you depress the trigger on the can. I used 3 cans on mine. 3 weeks later I also sprayed oil inside the frame.

wow a 96 ? that looks great. tap on all the bottom surfaces of the
frame with a hammer or metal tool and just make sure you get a sharp knock/ping
back, but I suspect that there is zero concern on that thing for the next 10 years

Ive called Ziebart and for some reason am not impressed by what they were telling me about their methods. They were talking about drilling holes to spray the product inside of the "door panels" im pretty sure they meant spraying inside the door itself, and they first use their "rust treatment" then "rust preventer" then the "undercoating". Of course you pay extra for each of these services. All I care about it thoroughly coating the inside of my frame- which seems to me the Eastwood would be plenty. I still may use Ziebart if you guys say they are great but the convo I had on the phone didnt impress me
