Changed engine oil and it now smokes

Hi,
I have a 1995 tacoma 3.4 l,this morning I changed the engine oil and filter,I used 5 sae 30, and when I started she was smoking ,on the previous oil changed I used 10 sae 30 and their was no smoke,I purchased the truck in October ,214000 miles on her now,
Should I change the oil for the 10 sae 30.
I am in the tropics,
Pls advice

well first off, did u spill any? that can cause some smoke
also if it has no leaks, i'd stick with a 5w30, preferably synthetic or at least a blend

make sure your filter is on straight. it happened to me once before, and the little bit that leaked out was burning up and caused some smoke to come outa da hood.

I meant it comes out of the exhaust pipe,it hardly use too before.

what color is the smoke? white/gray is coolant in the oil, black is rich fuel, blue/gray color means oil in combustion chamber

With that many miles, and being in the tropics, I see no reason to not use 10w-30 since you're burning 5w. I'd just run a high mileage conventional

So changed the oil with 10 /30 no white smoke when I started the engine
