What are the stock struts and shocks on 04 TRD Tacoma. Right now I have Tokico on there and I was just wondering what is stock. I thought the bilstiens were stock?

Well i have an 04 Tacoma TRD 4x4 and I have tokicos? Why is that? I have 70,000 Miles on the vehicle, i couldn't imagine someone has replaced the shocks already. I just bought the tacoma last month.

Doublecab or Xtracab? Bilsteins came on the Xtracab's and Tokico's came on the Doublecabs IIRC.

Are the Tokicos comparable or are the bilsteins way better?

I think the Bilstein's are a little stiffer than the Tokico's but yes quite comparable.

That's correct ... Tokicos rather than Bilsteins were OEM on 2004 Double Cabs with the TRD Off Road Package.

yeah man.....5100's are for lifted and stock trucks....there are stock settings on the front shocks. i cant remember how much a set of the hd's are..........but you can get the 5100's (all 4) from dsms for right round $279.....and thats a great deal for a awesome shock.
