    Great pics! Yep we had to watch carefully here in Louisiana after Katrina. When I was looking for another first gen, I know I looked at one on a used dealer lot had to be a Katrina car or got water damage somewhere. It was musty smelling and the dash had been cleaned, but you could see a powdery substance in all the little joints and cracks around the entire dash.

    I know, I cannot believe the scumbag insurance companies can do it. I just good to be informed and pass it on to other who might be looking to buy ANY type of used car.
    Hey, who on here is old enough to remember the scandal in middle 80's when Chrysler was the only one making mini vans, and they were so hot they could not make enough, so people were getting totaled mini vans and matching salvaged front and rear ends, and putting them together. fooled some people till a few split apart on the highway.

    Lol after checking the first link I had already clicked the dakar picture and sent the giant dune pic with helicopter and bike to a friend on facebook before clicking your second link and realizing that was the cool thing you wanted to show us.

    Always liked The Atlantic btw.
