I have a 2002 with 109,000 miles and power windows. Recently, when I put the drivers side window all the way down and drive, it rattles.

I not familiar with the internals but is there some kind of dampening material that maybe wore off or something ?

Try tightening the 10mm nut on the lower door jamb...Worked for me. Got the tip right here on Tacoma World!

I've got manual windows, and when my drivers window is all the way down it squeaks/rattles. So I just don't roll it all the way down

Soon I'll pull the door panel and tighten what I see in there, but I haven't had that much time recently

I'll bet its the window seal. It runs all the way down the window track.
The replacement door on my drivers side (I rolled my truck) worked flawlessly. Then one day I got the idea to pull the door off of the truck and color match it to the rest of the body.
When I couldn't pry off the window seal without pulling the entire door apart, I put the seal back in the upper part of the door.
It's never been the same since. :(

Mine did this. Des the window operate fine? I'd guess it's coming out of the tray that lifts it up and down. Or the mount on the inside of the door is busted which happened on mine. Take off the door panel so you can see.

Try the 10mm nut first, before taking stuff apart: you could save yourself a lot of time and effort.

mine seems to be getting more, just noticeable started last year and only rattles partially down so far when i need some road noise or fresh & crisp spring air

i may try the 10mm nut first
the only thing i recall doing before this happened was to clean the run channel tracks out good with some silicone spray stuff so it would slide up and down easier, which it seemed to!?

All the way down only. But I imagine the longer I left it loose, more stages of roll-up would be affected. Whilst driving only- didn't matter about cross-wind.

Too funny. I reconnected the battery after messing with the HU last week and just happened to walk by the open driver’s door with a 10mm wrench in my hand. I don’t know what possessed me but I looked at that bolt in the door jamb and the wrench in my hand and decided eh, give it a twist. SOB i fixed the door rattle!

Yeah, they are. But I often look at them because some contain information that wasn't important to me when the thread was active but is a lifesaver now.

i just wish i would need to replace the motor or something in there, it still seems really good condition for the power windows! just an insane window rattle at most speeds going on currently

why did i ever spray lubricant in the run channels :(
it started soon after i did that lol

Could it be that the lock knob is vibrating against the door sill? I have that and it's driving me crazy!
