The original owner installed a body lift which is why I'm assuming the two frame ends are visible just under the front bumper. I really don't like the look of the exposed frame ends. There is a threaded reseptacle, what can I attach there to give it a cleaner look? A plate bumper is at least a year down the road. Thanks for any suggestions.

Not to sure what the threaded part is. BTW if you get a bumper make sure it is modified to fit the BL or you will have a gap between the bumper and the grill. The gap is how ever large your BL is.

There is already a skid plate lower down in the picture. I was thinking about attaching a tow hook or shackle but I'm not sure how to do that with the single threaded hole.[IMG]

I was hoping to save up for a bumper and coilover lift at the same time. Would I be able to take off the body lift and not worry about modifying a bumper?

That would be sweet, but not in the budget at the moment. Really just looking for something small to screw onto the frame ends for a cleaner look.

Its not really a cleaner look, but mine had caps that bolt on to the ends of the frame.

If you have a 1inch body lift, i wouldnt worry about the gap, but a 3 inch body lift leaves a 3 inch gap that some may find goofy looking. You can either make something that goes between the bumper and the grill or take out the BL. Either way, its not going to affect the mounting of the bumper, just affects the look.

I'm getting my Relentless Fab front plate bumper this Thursday! :D:D:D But this is what I did with the stupid crush cones on the front of mine:
Just made a simple bracket that bolted straight up to the crush cones and bolted on the Hellas! Once my new bumper gets put on, the Hellas are going to get put on top of the bumper in front of the grill!

My advice...don't mess with it. My ARB used that hole for mounting purposes. Again, I wouldn't mess with it.

Take off your skid plate, wire brush all of that and spray some satin black on all of it till you get your plate bumper. You could install a couple of rotating lifting eyes in the mean time:

Thanks for the tips guys. The "rotating lifting eyes" are what I had in mind, just didn't know what I was looking for. I actually started prepping my skid plate for paint tonight, hopefully I have time to get it finished tomorrow.

I'll get some pics up of the minor things I have done hopefully by Sunday. Tonight I went over the whole truck with a clay bar kit. I couldn't believe what a differnce it made. That stuff is awesome!

take off the body lift, you will thank yourself.

With the amount of frame showing it looks to be at least a 2'' body lift.
